LG Display's June notebook LCD sales up 20 pct y/y

SEOUL, July 9 (Reuters) - LG Display Co Ltd (034220.KS), the world's No. 2 maker of liquid crystal display (LCD) screens, said on Thursday its notebook PC panel sales in June reached 406 million units, up 20 percent from a year earlier.

LG Display, which is set to report its second-quarter earnings on July 16, said in a statement it maintained its global lead in the notebook panel area with about 30 percent market share.
