UPDATE 1-Ssangyong Eng wins $551 mln Singapore subway deal

SEOUL, June 22 (Reuters) - South Korean builder Ssangyong Engineering & Construction (012650.KQ) on Monday said it had won a 696 billion won ($551 million) subway project from Singapore's Land Transport Authority.
Ssangyong said in a statement that the order was to build a tunnel and two stations for a subway line in the Bugis district of Singapore.
The deal follows a S$930 million ($639 million) expressway order in Singapore that Ssangyong won in November 2008.
Shares in Ssangyong were up 3 percent by 0427 GMT, leading the Kosdaq market's .KQ11 0.34 percent gain. ($1=1264.2 Won) ($1=1.456 Singapore Dollar) (Reporting by Rhee So-eui; Editing by Chris Lewis)
