Daewoo Shipbuilding wins $200 mln Greek ferry deal
SEOUL, June 26 (Reuters) - Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (042660.KS), the world's No.3 shipbuilder, said on Friday it had won a $200 million order from Greece's Attica Group to build two ferries.
Daewoo plans to deliver the ships by the first quarter of 2012, the South Korean company said in a statement.
The order came as shipbuilders such as Daewoo suffer from a steep fall in new ship orders.
Shares in Daewoo ended up 2.8 percent at 20,100 won on Thursday on Seoul's main stock exchange, outperforming a 2.1 percent gain in the wider market . (Reporting by Cheon Jong-woo; Editing by David Holmes)
