SHANGHAI, March 30 (Reuters) - Shanghai Zhenhua Port Machinery (600320.SS), the world's biggest port equipment maker, expects production to jump 25 percent to 35 billion yuan ($5.12 billion) this year, the official China Securities Journal reported on Monday, citing the Chinese company.

Zhenhua Port secured a $70 million order last Friday to make eight container cranes for France's biggest container terminal operator GMP, the newspaper reported.

The agreement represents the third major contract Zhenghua Port has signed this year with a value of $50 million or more, the article said.

Zhenhua Port will also benefit from the central government's decision to develop Shanghai into an international transportation hub and will vie to manufacture equipment for the city's main port Yangshan, which is under construction. ($1=6.831 Yuan)
