THE STRAITS TIMES

- Singapore on Thursday reported a nearly one-third increase in the number of H1N1 flu cases. Another 95 new cases were detected, bringing the figure to 315.

- The number of millionaires in Singapore fell 22 percent to 61,000 last year due to the meltdown in global financial markets, according to Merrill Lynch. Merrill defines such high net worth individuals as people with at least $1 million in net assets excluding their main residences.

BUSINESS TIMES

- Sembcorp Industries (SCIL.SI) on Thursday signed an agreement to test-bed a new wastewater treatment and water reclamation system.
