Sept 3 (Reuters) - Japan's Dainippon Sumitomo Pharma Co Ltd
(4506.T) said it agreed to buy U.S. drugmaker Sepracor Inc
SEPR.O for around $2.6 billion. [ID:nT42454]
The deal is the fourth-biggest overseas buy by a Japanese drugmaker, and follows recent acquisitions, primarily in the United States, as Japanese firms seek to grow their drug pipelines and raise their profile in the world's largest pharmaceuticals market.
