Singapore Hot Stocks - Banks, Noble in focus

 SINGAPORE, May 5 (Reuters) - Singapore financials such as
DBS Group (DBSM.SI) and United Overseas Bank (UOBH.SI) may be
in focus on Tuesday after signs that the health of U.S. banks
have improved.
 U.S. stocks rallied on Monday, driving the S&P 500 into
positive territory for the year as investors bet banks' capital
shortfalls may be manageable and housing data fueled hopes the

 Stocks and factors to watch:
 -- NOBLE GROUP (NOBG.SI)
 - Singapore-listed commodity trader Noble Group Ltd has
raised its offer for Australian miner Gloucester Coal Ltd
(GCL.AX) by 24 percent to A$6 a share, it said on Tuesday,
valuing Gloucester at about A$490 million ($360.6 million).

 -- ASCENDAS REIT (AEMN.SI)
 - Ascendas REIT announced it will develop a building worth
about S$175 million ($118.6 million) for Singapore
Telecommunications (STEL.SI) by next year. [ID:nSN5451281]
 -- COSCO CORPORATION (COSC.SI)
 - Cosco said it won a contract to convert a very large
crude carrier tanker to a floating production storage and
offloading vessel for Mitsui Ocean Developing & Engineering
Co., Ltd., which will be delivered by the middle of next year.

 - Singapore-based Craft Print International said the firm
expects to report a loss for its half-year ended on March 31,

5.65 percent to 2,028.71 points on Monday.
 - The Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI rose 2.61 percent
to 8,426.74 points on Monday. The Nasdaq Composite Index
.IXIC climbed 2.58 percent to 1,763.56 points.
