Australia's Roc Oil to raise capital, halts shares

SYDNEY, June 26 (Reuters) - Australian oil and gas producer Roc Oil Co Ltd (ROC.AX) plans to issue up 88 million new shares to raise cash, the company said on Friday, which would be worth about A$79 million ($63 million) based on its latest share price.

The company's shares went on a trading halt pending completion of the capital raising.

Roc shares ended at A$0.90 on Thursday, giving it a market value of A$529 million. ($1=A$1.24) (Reporting by Denny Thomas)
