Toho Zinc H1 zinc output seen down 20.1 pct yr/yr

 TOKYO, April 3 (Reuters) - Japan's Toho Zinc Co Ltd (5707.T)
plans to produce 48,813 tonnes of zinc in the April-September
first half, down 20.1 percent from a year earlier, the company
said in a statement.
 Japanese smelters have been producing less metal this year as
the nation's worst recession since World War Two cuts sharply
into demand.

with comparisons with estimated production in the second half of
2008/09 and actual production in the first half of 2008/09 (in
