Nikkei sheds 1.4 pct, resource shares hit
TOKYO, July 6 (Reuters) - Japan's Nikkei average fell 1.4 percent on Monday as hopes of an economic recovery were dented in the wake of last week's downbeat U.S. employment data, dampening investor sentiment.
Concerns about the prospects for an early global economic recovery hit resource-linked shares such as oil and gas developer Inpex Corp (1605.T) and trading houses including Mitsui & Co (8031.T).
The benchmark Nikkei .N225 slid 135.20 points to 9,680.87. The broader Topix fell 0.9 percent to 912.42.
