Japan May electricity generation down 8.3 pct yr/yr
TOKYO, June 12 (Reuters) - Japan's 10 utilities generated 8.3 percent less electricity in May than they did in the same month a year earlier, an industry association said on Friday.
The utilities generated 69.47 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity in May, the Federation of Electric Power Companies of Japan said.
In April, electricity generation totalled 68.96 billion kilowatt-hours, down 8.5 percent from the same month a year earlier. [ID:nT169384] (Reporting by Osamu Tsukimori)
