US Treasury invests $365.4 mln into 23 more banks
WASHINGTON, Feb 24 (Reuters) - The U.S. Treasury said on Tuesday it invested $365.4 million in federal rescue funds into 23 more banks on Feb 20, bringing total disbursements to financial institutions and auto makers since the bailout program began to about $306.15 billion.
The Treasury said the largest of the latest recipients of preferred-stock investments include $116 million for First Merchants Corp (FRME.O). It also includes funds for a number of small, privately held banks, including $3.1 million for Crazy Woman Creek Bancorp Inc. of Buffalo, Wyoming.
