PARIS, June 26 (Reuters) - The solvency of France's banks is at a "satisfactory" level, Bank of France governor Christian Noyer said on Friday.

Noyer, who is also an ECB Governing Council Member, added that recent "stress tests" had been carried out on French banks and these had shown the banks to be in solid shape.

"The different tpes of stress tests carried out in recent months appear to me to confirm my analysis on the solidity of the French banks," Noyer told reporters.
