ESS Technology appoints new Chief Financial Officer

NEW YORK, Aug 15 (Reuters) - ESS Technology Inc ESST.O, a maker of digital video processors and imaging sensor chips, said on Wednesday it has appointed John Marsh as its chief financial officer with immediate effect.

Marsh, previously corporate controller, has been with the company since April 2001.

The Fremont, California-based company's former CFO, James Boyd left in June to join Silicon Storage Technology Inc. (SSTI.O), a maker of data storage chips.
