NMT Medical says gets favorable ruling in Cardia patent case
Nov 9 (Reuters) - Medical technology company NMT Medical Inc (NMTI.O) said a U.S. district court ruled that Cardia Inc CRDI.PK infringed its patent and confirmed that the patent is valid.
The patent infringement lawsuit was originally filed in September, 2004 alleging that Cardia's Intrasept device infringes upon the patent, which is owned by the Children's Medical Center Corp and licensed exclusively by NMT. (Reporting by Aniruddha Basu in Bangalore; Editing by Bernard Orr)
