Peregrine Pharma says brain cancer treatment shows promise

March 11 (Reuters) - Peregrine Pharmaceuticals Inc (PPHM.O) said it received positive data from a mid-stage trial of Cotara, its experimental treatment for a type of brain cancer.

The company said early results showed Cotara appeared to be safe and well tolerated and some patients in the study have surpassed the expected median average survival time. (Reporting by Jennifer Robin Raj in Bangalore; Editing by Vinu Pilakkott)
