ZymoGenetics says FDA approves drug to control bleeding
Jan 17 (Reuters) - ZymoGenetics Inc (ZGEN.O) said U.S. health regulators approved Recothrom, its drug to control bleeding during surgery.
The drug maker said the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's approval triggered a $40 million milestone payment from Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals to ZymoGenetics.
Bayer will support the launch of Recothrom in the United States for three years, ZymoGenetics said in a statement. (Reporting by Manish Gupta in Bangalore; Editing by Vinu Pilakkott)
