Trans World to close Ohio distribution center

Jan 17 (Reuters) - Trans World Entertainment Corp (TWMC.O) said it would the close its North Canton, Ohio, distribution center, which would affect 234 employees.

Additionally, the specialty retailer of entertainment software also announced the closing of its fixture facility in Johnstown, New York, affecting 18 employees.

The operations at the Canton center will be phased out over the next two months and the company will service its stores from its remaining distribution centers located in Albany, New York, and Carson, California, it said. (Reporting by Purwa Naveen Raman in Bangalore)
