DEUTSCHE BANK (DBKGn.DE)

The global investment bank appointed Rob Ebert, managing director, to be head of equity sales for the Americas. Ebert was most recently responsible for European execution services sales.

BINGHAM McCUTCHEN

The securities law firm has named Takayasu Koga as a securities partner. Prior to joining Bingham, Koga was assistant director in charge of inspections at Japan's Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission.

EATON VANCE CORP

The Boston-based investment management firm announced that Muriel I. Nichols has joined its Eaton Vance Investment Counsel (EVIC) as Vice President of Tax and Estate Planning. Prior to joining Eaton Vance, she was a vice president and senior wealth strategist for U.S. Trust, Bank of America.

JEFFERIES & CO (JEF.N)

The investment bank announced that incoming managing directors William H. Jennings, II and Johan Eveland, will head up a team of ten professionals to expand its fixed-income business in mortgage backed securities. Jennings, slated to start in June, and Eveland, who just joined Jefferies, were both managing directors with RBS Greenwich Capital.

ANNALY CAPITAL MANAGEMENT INC (NLY.N)

Asset management firm Annaly Capital Management Inc, which invests for institutions and private clients and is listed on the New York Stock Exchange, said it promoted James Fortescue, Kristopher Konrad and Rose-Marie Lyght to managing director. Lyght and Konrad will oversee portfolio and asset selection while Fortescue will be responsible for all financing operations.

BARCLAYS AMERICAS (BARC.L)

The global bank named Archibald Cox, Jr., to head Barclays operations in the Americas. Prior to joining Barclays, Cox was president and CEO of Magnequench, a manufacturer of earth magnetic material and magnets.

LEHMAN BROTHERS HOLDINGS LEH.N

The global investment bank appointed Kunio Tahara, previously with Goldman Sachs, as managing director and head of equity trading in Japan.
