 March 5 (Reuters) - China's Ping An Insurance (Group) Co
(2318.HK: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) (601318.SS: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz), the country's second-largest life
underwriter, is seeking shareholder approval to raise more than
$17 billion through the issue of Shanghai-listed shares as well
as convertible bonds with warrants.
 If Ping An were to conduct the capital raising in full, it
would rank as the world's 6th largest ever fund-raising in the
public markets, according to Thomson Financial data.
