Humberts HUMG.L has confirmed that it is in talks about a potential takeover with a number of interested parties. The estate agents group - part-owned by property magnate Vincent Tchenguiz - announced on Friday a loss of 17 million pounds in the full year to September 30, compared with a profit of 1 million pounds the previous year. Tim James, executive chairman, and Max Ziff, chief executive, left the company in January. John McLean, the new executive chairman, said that preliminary discussions had been started with a number of interested parties attracted by the "underlying scale and diversity of the business". The shares fell 0.75 pence to 10.25 pence.
