JBS Swift to buy National Beef for cash, stock

CHICAGO, March 4 (Reuters) - U.S Premium Beef LLC said on Tuesday it had entered into a deal to sell National Beef Packing Co. LLC, the fourth largest U.S. beef processor, to JBS Swift & Co (JBSS3.SA) , the Brazilian-owned beef and pork company in the United States.

U.S. Premium Beef said JBS Swift will pay members of National Beef about $465 million cash and $95 million in JBS common stock.
