American Axle says UAW talks to resume on Thursday
DETROIT, March 11 (Reuters) - U.S. auto parts supplier American Axle & Manufacturing Holdings on Tuesday said it would resume contract talks with the United Auto Workers union on Thursday in a bid to end a two-week-old strike.
The strike by more than 3,600 UAW-represented workers at five American Axle plants has shut its U.S. operations and caused parts shortages that have idled almost 30 plants at its largest customer, General Motors Corp (GM.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) (Reporting by Kevin Krolicki, editing by Leslie Gevirtz)
