CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens up 1 percent in broad rally

TORONTO, Aug 13 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index popped 1 percent higher at the opening bell on Thursday, buoyed by firm oil and gold prices and a rosier outlook for the world's economic health.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE rose 113.94 points, or 1.07 percent, to 10,773.81. The hefty energy and financials groups were each up more than 1 percent, while materials gained about 2 percent. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; editing by Peter Galloway)
