S.Korea teachers fund entrusts $300 mln to Goldman

SEOUL, May 8 (Reuters) - The Korea's Teachers' Pension Corporation said on Thursday it had entrusted 300 billion won ($290.6 million) to Goldman Sachs Asset Management for overseas investment and strategic partnership.

The asset management firm of Goldman (GS.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) was picked out of 16 foreign asset managers operating in South Korea to manage the assets until 2011, the teachers' fund added in a statement.
