TOKYO, April 7 (Reuters) - Japanese office equipment maker Konica Minolta Holdings Inc (4902.T) said on Monday it would develop and market office-use printers and production print systems with Dutch firm Oce NV (OCEN.AS).

The companies plan to jointly develop technology for the light to mid-range production print market, Konica Minolta said in a statement.

Konica Minolta will also supply the Dutch photocopier and printer maker with office printers to sell under the Oce brand and the two companies will supply each other with production print systems for sale under their respective brands.

Oce Chief Executive Rokus van Iperen told Reuters last week his company wanted to expand partnerships with Konica Minolta, Fujifilm Holdings' (4901.T) unit Fuji Xerox, and Canon Inc (7751.T) to cross-sell printing machines.

Oce, which has been by hit by sales declines in the U.S. financial and construction sectors, said last week it would be cutting an estimated 350 jobs worldwide.

Konica Minolta shares were up 2.3 percent at 1,511 yen in early trade, outperforming a 0.1 percent rise in the Nikkei 225 share average .N225. (Reporting by Edwina Gibbs and Taiga Uranaka; Editing by Hugh Lawson)
