Mizuho says sees $3.9 bln subprime trading loss

TOKYO, April 11 (Reuters) - Mizuho Financial Group Inc (8411.T: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) said it expected 400 billion yen ($3.9 billion) of subprime-related trading losses at its unlisted brokerage, Mizuho Securities, for the year to March 2008.

Mizuho Financial, Japan's second-largest bank, also revised down its net profit forecast for the year by more than a third to 310 billion yen. [ID:nT11DMWOW5] ($1=101.77 Yen) (Reporting by David Dolan; Editing by Rodney Joyce)
