Nikkei hits 10-mth high as construction stocks rise
TOKYO, Aug 11 (Reuters) - Japan's Nikkei average hit its highest point in 10 months on Tuesday, with construction stocks such as Obayashi Corp (1802.T) gaining in the wake of an earthquake and a storm that triggered mudslides.
The benchmark Nikkei .N225 was up 0.6 percent at 10,583.76, after briefly rising as high as 10,587.36, its highest level since early October.
The broader Topix added 0.4 percent to 973.35. (Reporting by Aiko Hayashi)
