CANADA STOCKS-TSX rises broadly, snaps 3-session skid

TORONTO, July 9 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index snapped a three-session skid on Thursday, finishing more than 1 percent higher as a rise in commodity prices gave a boost to the resource-heavy market.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed up 120.67 points, or 1.25 percent, at 9,774.12. Eight of the index's 10 main groups were higher. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; editing by Peter Galloway)
