CANADA STOCKS-TSX follows energy shares to higher open
TORONTO, July 14 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index rose at the open on Tuesday as a rally in oil and commodity prices helped to lift the resource-heavy index to its highest level in a week.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 79.82 points, or 0.81 percent, at 9,971.75 at the open. Five of the TSX's 10 sectors were higher, led by a 1.3 percent gain in the weighty energy group. (Reporting by Frank Pingue; Editing by Jeffrey Hodgson)
