CANADA STOCKS-TSX succumbs to recovery doubt and falls
TORONTO, Aug 11 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index sank on Tuesday as mixed economic data and a gloomy outlook for U.S. banks painted by a prominent analyst spurred doubt about recovery and led to profit-taking.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed down 153.68 points, or 1.42 percent, at 10,639.99, with eight of its 10 main groups lower, led by a 2.5 percent drop in the financials group. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; editing by Peter Galloway)
