Verisign plans $800 mln in stock repurchases
NEW YORK, Feb 8 (Reuters) - Internet services company VeriSign Inc (VRSN.O: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) on Friday announced a $800 million share repurchase program that it expects to complete in the third quarter.
VeriSign will pay $600 million to a financial institution in exchange for a number of shares which have not been determined. It will repurchase another $200 million worth in open-market transactions.
