Citigroup names infrastructure risk chief
NEW YORK, March 20 (Reuters) - Citigroup Inc (C.N), the largest U.S. bank, on Thursday named John Davidson global infrastructure risk director, effective April 21.
Davidson is the latest of a string of former Morgan Stanley (MS.N) officials to join Citigroup, whose new chief executive Vikram Pandit is also a Morgan Stanley alumnus.
Davidson joins Citigroup from CME Group Inc CME.N, where he was a managing director and chief corporate development officer. He had worked at Morgan Stanley from 1993 to 2006.
At New York-based Citigroup, Davidson will report to Brian Leach, the bank's new chief risk officer.
Davidson's appointment was announced in an internal memo. A Citigroup spokeswoman confirmed the memo's contents. (Reporting by Jonathan Stempel; )
