Office Depot holder group files proxy statement

NEW YORK, March 28 (Reuters) - Office Depot Inc (ODP.N: Quote, Profile, Research) shareholder Woodbridge Group on Friday filed a proxy statement urging shareholders to elect its nominees to the board of the office supplies retailer.

Woodbridge Group, which includes real estate developer Levitt Corp (LEV.N: Quote, Profile, Research), is seeking to nominate Mark Begelman and Martin Hanaka to Office Depot's board.

The group also urged shareholders to vote against the company's proposed 2008 executive bonus plan. (Reporting by Martinne Geller, editing by Gerald E. McCormick)
