WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A Chinese-made beaded decoration attached to about 4,000 girls' cosmetic gift sets sold at Tween Brands Inc's Limited Too retail stores is being recalled because of unsafe levels of lead paint, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said on Thursday.

A pearl-like bead and pink flower were part of the decorative attachment that was attached to the packages of lip gloss, body spray and bath gels, the safety agency said.

The gift sets were sold at Limited Too retail stores nationwide from April until September 2007 for between $11 and $13.

Consumers should remove the bead attachment and return it to any Limited Too store for a $5 store coupon. Alternatively, consumers can return the entire gift set along with the bead attachment for a full refund, the safety agency said.

The agency posted a photograph of the recalled products on the Internet at: here .
