BOJ DEPUTY GOVERNOR KAZUMASA IWATA, Oct 22, when asked by reporters about a fall in the Japanese stock market:
"We need to carefully watch impacts from global financial market."
BOJ GOVERNOR TOSHIHIKO FUKUI, Oct 20, at news conference in Washington:
"Rather than finding something wrong with it, we have deepened our confidence of our scenario that Japan's economy is on track for sustained growth under price stability.
"But substantial uncertainty remains over the global market turbulence and its impact on the real economy in the world.
"It is certain that it will remain difficult to predict the future."
