Vietnam c.bank to buy more foreign currencies

HANOI, Oct 16 (Reuters) - The Vietnamese government has asked its central bank to continue buying more foreign currencies to raise national foreign exchange reserves, a government directive said.

"The State Bank is to focus on continuing purchases of foreign currencies to add to the national foreign exchange reserves," Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung said in a directive on Tuesday.
