PRESS DIGEST - Financial Times - March 6 =7
InterContinental Hotels (IHG.L: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) has set a target of adding a net 50,000-60,000 rooms by the end of 2008, and has plans for a series of new hotels in emerging markets. Some of these hotels will open in 2008 while others are scheduled for completion in the ensuing years. IHG chief executive Andrew Cosslett is confident of exceeding the top end of the 60,000 target as "the appetite for new hotel developments around the world remains buoyant."
