UPDATE 1-Kuwait's Agility says part of DynCorp US army deal

KUWAIT, July 12 (Reuters) - Kuwaiti logistics firm Agility (AGLT.KW) said on Sunday one of its units is part of a U.S. Army deal with a group lead DynCorp International Inc (DCP.N) worth up to $5.874 billion.
"Agility Defense & Government Services (DGS), and its partners ... have been awarded a task order for logistics support for the Afghanistan-South Area of Responsibility (AOR)," Agility said in a statement.
DynCorp said in a statement on Wednesday that the task order value is $643.5 million for the one-year base period.
Agility said the "award also includes four one-year option periods with a total evaluated value of $5.874 billion."
It did not give details about its share of the deal.
DynCorp and Fluor Corp (FLR.N) have been picked over KBR Inc (KBR.N) for five-year contracts worth up to $7.5 billion each to support U.S. troops in Afghanistan, the U.S. Army said on Wednesday. [ID:nN08397324]
DynCorp and its partners have been awarded work in southern Afghanistan, while Fluor's work is in the north.
