SCE California Mountainview units back on line
LOS ANGELES, Nov 9 (Reuters) - Southern California Edison's two 527-megawatt units at its Mountainview power station in Redlands, California, returned to production by Friday afternoon, the California Independent System Operator showed in a report.
Unit 3 at the plant was fully off line from the middle of October until earlier this week, when it came back on line but then was curtailed when a problem was found in restart. It had been curtailed by 285 megawatts Wednesday and Thursday.
Unit 4 was curtailed starting Oct. 21 and then was fully off line from Oct. 29 until Thursday when it was curtailed by 365 MW, the Cal ISO showed.
One megawatt powers about 650 homes in the SCE service area.
