Halliburton awarded $200 mln contract in Malaysia

NEW YORK, July 18 (Reuters) - Halliburton Co. (HAL.N) said on Wednesday it was awarded a $200 million contract to provide well completion products and services to a group of energy companies working in Malaysia.

The group of energy companies includes PETRONAS Carigali, Exxon Mobil (XOM.N), Royal Dutch Shell (RDSa.L) and Newfield Exploration Co. (NFX.N).

Halliburton said the contract is for five years and could be extended. It said the project will be helped by a new manufacturing facility it is building in Malaysia. (Reporting by Michael Erman)
