DIARY-G8 finance ministers meet in Japan, June 13-14

 TOKYO, June 14 (Reuters) - Finance ministers from the Group
of Eight (G8) rich nations have gathered to discuss the global
economy, soaring oil and food prices, and challenges from climate
change in meetings in Osaka, Japan.
 The meeting is to prepare for the G8 leaders' summit in July,
which will bring together the leaders of Britain, Canada, France,
Germany, Italy, Japan, the United States and Russia.
 Following is a schedule of events announced by Japan's
Ministry of Finance, which is chairing the meetings, and other
ministries (all times in GMT):
 SATURDAY, JUNE 14
 2245 (Friday)-0015 -- G8 finance ministers to hold an
outreach breakfast session to discuss climate change. It will be
attended by the same participants as the dinner session except
for the FSF.
 0030-0345 -- G8 finance ministers' meeting.
 0430-0500 -- News conference by Japanese Finance Minister
Fukushiro Nukaga, the chairman of the G8 finance ministers'
meeting. A joint G8 statement is expected to be released around
this time.
 0445 - Canadian Finance Minister Jim Flaherty holds news
conference.
 0445 - French Economy Minister Christine Lagarde holds a news
conference.
 0500 - U.S. Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson holds a news
conference.
 0500 - EU chair Andrej Bajuk holds a news conference.
 0515 - German Deputy Finance Minister Thomas Mirow holds a
news conference.
 0515 - IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn holds a news
conference.
 0430 -- Russian Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin holds news
conference
 0530 -- Japanese Ministry of Finance holds briefing on the G8
meeting.
 0600 - Japanese Finance Minister Fukushiro Nukaga meets EU
