Japan's Nikkei down 2 pct, financials sold

TOKYO, July 8 (Reuters) - The Nikkei stock average fell 2.1 percent on Tuesday, with financials such as top lender Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (8306.T) dropping after a fresh supply of financial worries hit Wall Street.

As of 0135 GMT, the benchmark Nikkei .N225 fell to 13,078.05, while the broader Topix lost 1.9 percent to 1,288.13. (Reporting by Aiko Hayashi)
