TOKYO, March 28 (Reuters) - Kyocera Corp. (6971.T) said on Wednesday it would invest up to 30 billion yen ($255 million) to build a new factory for ceramic condensers in Japan.

Kyocera spokeswoman Chikago Morioka said the new factory would be built on an existing site in southern Kagoshima Prefecture and would double the company's output capacity by this summer.

Construction will begin later this year.
