Kyocera stops some chip production in San Diego
TOKYO, Oct 24 (Reuters) - Japanese electronics parts maker Kyocera Corp. (6971.T: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) said it has stopped some production of chip packaging in San Diego, California, because of fires raging in the southern part of the state.
A Kyocera spokesman said there was no damage to production lines and no employees were hurt. He was checking on the exact level of production cutbacks at its plant.
