Japan Aso: Work with BOJ for financial stability

TOKYO, Oct 2 (Reuters) - Prime Minister Taro Aso said on Thursday the government will cooperate with the Bank of Japan to maintain financial stability in Japan.

"Tensions in global financial markets are heightening. Japan will strive to achieve global financial market stability by cooperating with the United States and other nations," Aso said in the upper house of parliament. (Reporting by Leika Kihara)
