BOJ nominee to appear in parliament Tuesday-LDP

TOKYO, March 18 (Reuters) - The government will propose its nominee for the Bank of Japan governor to parliament on Tuesday, followed by a parliamentary hearing attended by the nominee during the afternoon, a senior official in the ruling Liberal Democratic Party said.

The hearing with the nominee will be held after an upper house plenary session expected to end by mid-afternoon, the official said. (Reporting by Leika Kihara)
