TOKYO, March 18 (Reuters) - A senior lawmaker in Japan's main opposition Democratic Party said on Tuesday it would be hard to rule on the government nomination of Koji Tanami as the next governor of the Bank of Japan.
"As we have been saying, from the standpoint of separating fiscal and monetary policy, this is a hard decision to make," said Masayuki Naoshima, policy head of the Democrats. (Reporting by Yuzo Saeki)
