BOJ Fukui: G7 to discuss risks on financial front
TOKYO, Feb 7 (Reuters) - Bank of Japan Governor Toshihiko Fukui said on Thursday he expects the Group of Seven (G7) leading countries to discuss downside risks to the global economy on the financial front.
"It is important for the international community to share the same view," Fukui told a lower house budget committee.
Finance ministers and central bank governors of the G7 nations are expected to debate how recent market turmoil and a U.S. economic slowdown could affect the world economy when they meet in Tokyo on Saturday. (Reporting by Yuzo Saeki)
