Japan's Machimura: Govt always watching forex

TOKYO, March 3 (Reuters) - Japan's top government spokesman said on Monday the government is always watching currency markets but he would decline to comment on specific levels of the yen.

"We are always watching currency rates. But I'd like to decline to comment on their levels," Chief Cabinet Secretary Nobutaka Machimura told a news conference when asked about the dollar's fall to three-year low below 103 yen on Monday.
